Amidst the internal conflicts in the INDIA alliance, the Union Minister Of Home Affairs Amit Shah said that the alliance is scattered. “What is the status of INDI alliance?... Mumbai is going to have elections and Shivsena UBT and Congress are preparing to contest separately... In the Delhi elections, Congress and AAP are contesting separately... The whole of the 'Ghamandia' Alliance is scatteredsbet,” Shah said at a rally in Shirdi.

Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav on January 8 said the INDIA bloc has lost its significance and was formed specifically for the Lok Sabha elections. Speaking to reporters in Bihar’s Buxar, Yadav said: “INDIA was formed just for the Lok Sabha elections and to stop the victory chariot of the BJP. It has no significance now. This is why the bickering between the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party ahead of the Delhi Assembly polls is not unexpected.”

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also expressed dismay over the lack of clarity regarding its leadership and agenda, saying the alliance should be wound up if it was meant only for the parliamentary elections. "After the Assembly elections in Delhi, they should call all the alliance members for a meeting. If this alliance was only for the parliamentary elections, it should be wound up, and we will work separately. But if it is meant for Assembly elections as well, we will have to sit together and work collectively,” Abdullah told reporters.
